When Kath first moved to our street as a young wife with a husband still in the Marines, she immediately made an impression on my mum, many years her senior. Kath became a wonderful friend to mum and she was greatly liked by all my family.

We watched her become a mum to four lovely children and she and Sid ,her kind, helpful and friendly husband ,were well liked and respected by the people in the street.  This friendship lasted for over 70 years even though we moved homes.

 Knowing the Smith family is one of life's privileges.

I pray we may all meet up again sometime,
